One of the most valuable tools open to investigators and researchers are the records held by county courts. These can range from criminal to civil filings and are very helpful in ascertaining a person’s criminal or marital history. It is also valuable in locating individuals who may have been recently served by officers of the court.
The easiest way is to search online. However, a number of counties still do not have this feature hence you will have to place a telephone call to the district or county clerk’s office depending on the record you are trying to retrieve.
It is also worth noting that some records are sealed from the public for various legal reasons i.e involving a child. You may still be able to access this record, however it will require a phone call to the appropriate office.
As a private investigator i have used this resource on numerous occasions to help solve both criminal and family cases that i am dealing with. Throughout my repeated dealings with county courts i have now amassed a huge resource to help navigate the court system and obtain information for efficiently.
